Rules of Conduct and Disciple

• Every student should bring the School Diary daily to the School to facilitate the Principal/teachers to convey information or request, if any, to the parents/guardian. If the parents/guardian are advised to meet the Principal/Teachers, they are expected to do so invariably.
• Students are required to reach the School Campus five minutes before the first bell for the Morning Assembly. Those who are late must obtain permission from the concerned person in charge, who makes entries in the diaries of late-comers before allowed to enter the School Campus. Afterthree such entries of late arrivals,Rs.20/- each will be charged as fine for every subsequent late arrivals from such delinquents
• The warning bell before the beginning of the Morning Assembly is a signal for students to go to their respective class-rooms in perfect silence.
• All pupils are expected to be present for the Assembly during which they pray together and no one is permitted to stay in the class room without obtaining prior permission.
• The attendance of every student will be marked in the Attendance Register at the beginning of each sessions every day: one at the arrival in the class after the Morning Assembly and the other after the Noon Break.
• No student shall be allowed to go out or to be taken out of the School compound without obtaining the permission of ‘out pass’ from the Principal. The Out Pass shall not be issued unless the Principal is convinced of the genuineness of the need and the credentials of the person who has come with the request to take the student from the School for whatever purpose.
• Personal Cleanliness and grooming is expected of every student. The school uniform must be clean, well pressed and complete without any type of decorations. Students coming to the School with untidy dress, unkempt hair etc. will be fined and if not corrected will be asked to bring their parents to explain the reason.
• The class-teachers are duty bound to check diligently the uniform of the students regularly. They should regularly insist on the hair styles of the boys and girls that they conform to the regulations of the School.
• During the recess all pupils are expected to leave the classrooms.
• The Principal has the right to confiscate books ,newspapers, periodicals, mobile phones and any other items which may be considered objectionable. No student should posses any unauthorized sharp instruments or any lethal weapons which is in any way not related to the study materials and neither should they bring any contraband items, intoxicants, drugs or anything objectionable or injurious to any fellow of the School. In case of any such material found in possession of anyone, he/she will be suspended from the School with immediate effect and if the evil intention of the possessor is proved subsequently he/she will be debarred from attending the School.
• The academic session of the School will be from March to February. The medium of instruction and expression is English within the School Campus. Punjabi, the Mother Tongue, is taught form L.K.G and Hindi, the national language from U.K.G onwards. All students must practice speaking in English only within the School Campus.
• Money should not be lent or borrowed or articles exchanged amoung the students, without due permission from the class-teacher.
• No collection or contribution of money for any purpose whatsoever is to be resorted to and no meeting , demonstration, party or picnic may be held without previous sanction of the Principal.
• Presents to the members of the staff or any demonstration in their honor also requires previous sanction.
• Any pupil desiring to be exempted from PT, games or any other activities in the School must produce a Medical Certificate to the effect from a Medical Practitioner of competence showing that he/she is physically unfit to take part therein.
• Children have no permission to attend parties, going to cinemas, visiting friend’s house etc., on their way back home from the School and violations will be dealt with strictly.
• All pupils should have their belongings packed in a canvas or leather bag. Aluminum suitcase will not be allowed.
• Care must be had for all School property and no pupil should scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage any School furniture nor write on property or things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal. Any damage done must be made good by the one who cause it. Anyone who sees something damaged should report the matter even if he/she does not know who has done it.No Pupil should bring razor blade or any sharp instruments unwarranted to the School.
• All letters and correspondence addressed to pupils are subject to the scrutiny of the Principal. Involvement of a student in any unhealthy friendship or indecent relationship with a person of the opposite sex, or any remarks, commends, jokes ,exchanging of letters, sexually nuanced gestures etc. through verbal ,textual, graphic or electronic media, of demeaning nature that goes against sexual modesty, will be treated as very serious offense and such students will be asked to discontinue studies in this School with immediate effect.
• The School is not responsible for articles or money lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches, fountain pens etc.) to School. Pupils below Vth Std. are advised not to wear wrist watches in the School.Wearing of ornaments of any kind is strictly prohibited.
• Running, playing, shouting and whistling inside the School building is not allowed.
• Parents and guardian are not permitted to walk into the class-rooms or interview teachers without the permission of the Principal
• The Name, Admission Number, Standard and Section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all his/her belongings.
• The students should always behave politely wherever they go; they should always remember that the reputation of the School is judged by the behavior of its pupils. They should always greet their teachers, elders and friends in a pleasant and audible tone of voice wherever they meet them in the School or outside. They should be gentle and jovial to their companions and others.
• Pupils shall be cheerful in their obedience to their parents and teachers giving them always the respect and affection that is their due and must accept their guidance and correction with gratitude.
• Cycles must be Kept locked at the cycle stand only. Students should not ride around the School compound on bicycles. While entering or leaving the School gate, one must walk instead of riding. Students who do not possess a valid driving license are not allowed to bring motor vehicles to the School.
• Students who come to the School under the care of escorts should never leave the School premises before such escorts arrive. In case of any delay, the student should report the matter to the School office for safe solutions.
• Those who go home alone should not loiter about the way. They should report to the school office.
• Students will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours, unless it is very urgent.
• The Principal has the right to suspend any pupil or request the parents for the withdrawal of their ward without having to state any reason at her sole discretion in the interest of the School.
• The School welcomes any suggestion and advice which is positive and constructive for the welfare of the children and the betterment of the School. However the implementation of such suggestions shall solely be at the discretion of the School subject to convenience in course of time.
• In case of any grievances the parents may please approach the Principal directly and sort out the issues amicably.
• Those parents who cause any agitation and/ or incite others to do so against the School or collaborate with any anti-social element to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the School forfeit the right to continue the education of their children in the School. Their children are liable to be dismissed without assigning any reason thereof. However, in case of special request their children could be allowed to complete the current academic session provided the School is furnished with a legal guarantee on written undertaking through legal procedure that the atmosphere of the School shall not be disturbed to the inconvenience of the majority ofpeace loving children studying in the School. The children of such parents will be issued the TC along with the final result of the academic year. The same will be applicable to students who commit the same offense themselves.
• The management has the right to take disciplinary action against students who do not comply with the Rules and Regulations of the School.
• The School reserves its right to teach any subject that is required and approved by the Board of Education, both compulsory and optional.
• Parents are requested not to disturb the School staff with any issues of their wards except during the School hours. Phone calls or visit to their families at odd hours which disturb their privacy and family life is absolutely forbidden; and legal actions could be initiated against those parents who trespass.
• Just because one child of a family is admitted, it doesn’t mean that the School is bound to give admissions to all other children of the family and least to speak of their relatives.
• Parents/guardians are welcome to meet the Principal from 10:00 A.M on working days, preferably with a prior appointment to save time and to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.
• Parents may please remember that education equally means character formation as well and hence we needs to discussthe matters often among us.As per instructions from the Council, value education and character formation needs to be given prime importance during the formative years of a child. Therefore, henceforth the remarks registered in your child’s “Student’s Log Book” will also be entered in their Progress Report .We need Parent’s co-operation and consistent attention in regulating and correcting the child’s behavior through open and sincere dialogue between the teachers and parents on days allotted for the P.T.M.(Parent-Teacher Meet).
• Parents will also appreciate that it’s only through dialogue in such PTMs that we can discover and identify the special talents or weaknesses of the child so that teachers could concentrate on such areas for encouraging or rectifying, as the case may be.
• Disciplinary Action: Since the Schoolhas already done away with corporal punishments, it has become all the more imperative for parents to cooperate with the School to enforce discipline and punishment judiciously. It has since been decided that in case a student is found indulged in a serious nature of indiscipline a “Letter of Information” will be sent to the concerned parents. The parents must visit the School and discuss the matter with the Principal or the class-teacher and find a solution to reform the child. If a child does not show improvements even after three such interventions of issuance of ‘Letters of Information’ and theconsequent attempts of reforms in consultation with the parents, the student may be asked to discontinue his/her studies in the School.
• Periodical Reports and the Report Book will keep the parents /guardian informed of the progress of their wards. These reports are to be signed and returned on time as per the information in the School Diary.
• The transportation of the children to and from the School is entirely the responsibility of the parents. The School will not entertain any complaint on this matter nor shall be responsible in any way. Parents are strictly forbidden to send their wards to the School by vehicles which do not run in compliance with the traffic regulations as per Orders of the Honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court on children’s safety. The School issues permission to ferry the children only to those vehicle owners who have submitted their legal documents to the School in compliance with the orders of the Honorable High Court.
• Special classes, sports and games, cultural and literary activity may be organized on Saturdays as and when required. Participation will be deemed compulsory, in such cases.
• Co-curricular activities and outdoor activities such as class picnics, camps, and study-tours shall be compulsory for all and expenses will be charged from the participants.
• Annual Celebration and such other functions in which the parents are invited would be expensive and needs special financial support of the parents. Such charges would be in addition to the charges the participant wards would incur on their costumes and special training.
• No student is permitted to bring cell phones to the School Complex. If any student is found in possession, suchphones will be confiscated and will be returned only at the end of the academic year on condition that such violation of discipline will not be repeated. Parents or visitors, as and when they happen to visit the School Premises, and teachers are required to switch off their mobile phones in the School Complex.
• Duplicate copy of Transfer Certificate is ordinarily not issued. However in special circumstances such aCertificate could be issued, after verification and on due payment.
• A student who is caught resorting to unfair means in the examination will be given Zero Marks in the concerned paper and that it might lead to his dismissal also.
• A student who threatens the parents or the School Authorities with dire consequence of himself/herself committing suicide or to harm oneself or others in case of any disciplinary action on him/her will be immediately dismissed from the School. Information of any such oral or written threat will disqualify him/her to continue in the rolls of the School. However in case of a written undertaking by the parents that the School shall not be held in anyway responsible for such drastic step by their son/daughter and that a copy of such written undertaking will be given to the nearest police station for information and necessary action, if any.
• No Physical violence or verbal abuse is resorted to in the School. If anyone found or alleged of indulging in such violence, then such student will be suspended with immediate effect and an enquiry will be conducted which may lead to one’s dismissal if proved guilty.
• Allotting of Sections/Houses and periodical shuffling, as and when required, are fully at the discretion of the School Authorities and no request for a particular Section/House or changing of Section/House will be entertained, unless it is found very essential.
• The tendency of the students to opt for private tuitions isstrongly discouraged. The School teachers shall not engage themselves for private tuitions, except with the permission of the Principal.
• Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) is to be attended by all parents/guardian of the wards. Those students whose parents/guardian fails to attended the PTM, without prior consent from the Principal, will not be allowed to attend the classes unless and until they bring their parents/guardian to the School.
• If anyone, be it a teacher, parent, student or an employee, is found in an inebriated state in the School Premises stringent action will be taken against him/her with immediate effect.
• While entering in correspondence or making remittance of fee or inquiries, please mention the full name of the child, his/ her class and Roll Number/ Admission Number etc. which are very important to avoid confusion as there are many students in a class/school with the same or similar names.
• Parents and guardian are requested to notify the School of any change in their address and phone numbers.
